Katherine Queck, DVM

Fellow, Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, Diplomate, American Veterinary Dental College, Owner


Dr. Queck opened The Carolinas Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in 1993. A graduate of Iowa State University, she has performed advanced dental procedures on pets since 1986. In 1993, she became a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry of which there are less than 100 members worldwide. Dr. Queck opened The Hospital for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in 2016, which is the only dentistry referral hospital in the Charlotte area.  Dr. Queck became a boarded veterinary dental specialist in 2018 by becoming a member of the Americal Veterinary Dental College. 

She regularly speaks to veterinarians and animal affiliated groups in the Carolinas. She also presents scientific papers, conducts teaching laboratories, and provides continuing education for veterinary staff. Dr. Queck enjoys outdoor activities especially when they include her family & pets.


Kristin Scott, DVM

Diplomate American Veterinary Dental College


A native of New York, Dr. Kristin Scott received her Biology degree from Cornell University and her Veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Scott spent the next 13 years at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, a premier, multi-specialty referral hospital in New Jersey.  She completed her residency in Veterinary Dentistry through the University of Pennsylvania while still working at Red Bank, and in 2015 became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College.

Having just relocated to Charlotte, Dr. Scott and her family are already enjoying the warm weather, friendly people and wonderful family environment of Charlotte.  Dr. Scott is passionate about veterinary dentistry, teaching, and improving the health of her patients.  When she isn’t caring for patients, she loves spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and singing in her band, The Docs of Rock.

Jessica Mack, DVM

Resident, Dentistry and Oral Surgery


Dr. Jessica Mack graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Dr. Mack joined HVDOS as a Dentistry Intern to advance her skills and knowledge in veterinary dentistry and prepare for further residency training.  Prior to joining our team, she practiced both large and small animal medicine and surgery in North Carolina.  When she is not studying or caring for patients, Dr. Mack enjoys rowing, yoga, and exploring Charlotte.  She has a border collie mix named Matilda and a pointer named Tripoli.

Dr. Gillian Pantone, DVM

Resident, Dentistry and Oral Surgery


Originally from Ridgefield, CT, Dr. Pantone's parents moved their family to Seoul, S. Korea when she was a teenager. After graduating high school, she zigzagged across the world and later found herself back in Korea where she met her future husband, who was stationed there with the US Army. They relocated to Ft. Hood, Texas and eventually made their way to College Station for veterinary school.  Dr. Pantone graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and shortly thereafter she moved to North Carolina.  Dr. Pantone has enjoyed working in general practice prior to accepting an internship in Veterinary Dentistry in 2017 at HVDOS.  In 2018, Dr. Pantone was accepted into a Residency Program in Dentistry and Oral Surgery.  She is looking forward to combining her vast general practice knowledge with her love of dentistry to provide her furry patients with the best care possible.  

Dr, Pantone and her husband live in Plaza Midwood with their 2 rottweilers and cat.
